Definition of Alcoholism

Alcoholism is a serious addiction to alcohol where a person keeps drinking alcohol almost all times.

Consequences of Alcoholism

Many social crimes are connected to losing consciousness due to excessive consumption of alcohol. Alcohol is absorbed in the bloodstream and then travels to every part of the body, badly affecting the brain and liver.

Symptoms of Alcoholism

Alcoholics keep drinking alcohol at any point of day or night and can be seen with a puffy face with red eyes, a hoarse voice and a rapid pulse. They are suspicious, frustrated, angered, over- emotional, vomiting, delirium, impaired judgement and disturbed sleep are some of the other symptoms.

Alcoholism results due to over drinking. Sometimes due to psychological, emotional or financial problems leads to heavy consumption of alcohol. Addiction to frequent drinking is the way of dealing with such psychological and mental disturbances.
