Definition of Allergy

Allergy occurs when a person reacts to substances in the environment that are harmless to most people. These substances are known as allergens and are found in dust mites, pets, pollen, insects, ticks, moulds, foods and some medications.

A damaging immune response by the body to a substance, especially a particular food, pollen, fur, or dust, to which it has become hypersensitive.

Allergic reactions are caused by a wide range of substances like pollen, dust, cosmetics and animal hair; poisonous plants, serums, vaccines and drugs. Physical agents such as heat, cold and sunlight. Allergens are also present in variety of foods as well. For example: Allergens in oranges, milk, eggs, peanuts, wheat, fish, chocolates, cabbage, potatoes, tomatoes & berries.

Symptoms of Allergy

The symptoms of allergy includes  sneezing, coughing, headache, migraine, dizziness, irritability, nervousness, depression, neuralgia, conjunctivitis, diabetes, eczema, heart-burn, hay fever, indigestion, constipation, diarrhoea, gastric ulcer, asthma, overweight, high blood pressure, chest pain, heart attacks, runny nose, shortness of breath, swelling of the face and eyes,

Causes of Allergy

Allergy is a sign of low tolerance and internal unrest caused by allergens which are present in animals, pets, surroundings, foods, etc. When these allergens comes into physical contact of a person, it causes allergies in human body.

Treatment of Allergy

There are various ways to tackle many of the allergic disturbances.

  1. Hot Water Bath: The best way, to handle or overcome allergies is to strengthen the overall physical resistance by immediately taking a hot water bath for approximately 30minutes soon after realising the allergic reaction to your body.
  2. Essential Oil: Five drops of any essential oil which includes Lavender oil, Blend of Sandalwood Oil, frankincense oil, Ravenscar oil, Eucalyptus oil, Tea tree oil, Peppermint oil, Lemon tree oil, Roman Chamomile, Rosemary oil can be added into water taken on an empty stomach in the morning, is highly beneficial for allergies in the intestinal tract, skin, nasal passages and entire body. Essential oils for allergies will help to detoxify the body and fight infections, bacteria, parasites, micro-organisms and dreadful toxins.
  3. Manage stress. Stress hormones in the body badly effect the immune system, making allergies even worse. Hence staying carefree, relaxed, calm and happy will make mind and body relaxed and calm towards any allergens.
  4. Butterbur: It’s an herb, which comes from a European shrub and has shown potential for relieving allergy symptoms. Onions, apples and Chamomile tea has shown potential to cure allergies.
  5. Apple cider vinegar: Apple cider vinegar helps to boost the immune system, help break up mucus, and support lymphatic drainage. Mixing  one or two tablespoon of apple cider vinegar with a glass of water and lemon juice three times a day helps to relieve allergy symptoms.
  6. Detox the body: Allergies effected body both internally and externally. Foods, allergies sometimes seems to be fatal. Detox your body by eliminating fried foods, sugar, alcohol and other toxins from your diet. Frequent use of herbs such as Milk thistle, Turmeric, Artichoke, Citrus fruits and Nuts helps reducing allergies.
